This is 8th letter in the Toad Series, previous letters can be found here: (link). This week’s Toad might look better on the website - as it is mostly Images, unlike earlier Toad Letters. This is my first attempt at a letter full of Illusations, so please bear with me! (Unfortunately it was also the cause of the delayed publishing of the letter, Sorry!).

So why did he walk out?

Kurosawa-san states:

“But what was it that made me so ill on that occasion?
The answer is my own memory.
Seeing Wasurerareta kora, I recalled a bad feeling —a feeling I did not really want to remember.”

It was fascinating to be drawing these sketches and then sending them off to you. It was the first most intense “sketch-sprint” I have had the privelege of being-in so far, and made me appreciate those who’ve been illustrating for a long time - all the systems they might have evolved, used - and the effort put in.
